RDL joins Children Of Ethiopia in Washington, D.C.

 

 

August 8th, 2009                                  CEO (Children of Ethiopia Organization) brought together three non-for-profit organizations, namely, Jedidi’s Children Aid Organization, Ethiopian North American Health Professionals Association, Saturday Tutorial Program, not to mention RDL, and last but not least an unbelievably generous individual by the name of Lidia Schaefer who sold her house to fund a secondary school in Ethiopia. In this very memorable event CEO was able to unite the different entities with each other, as well as with close to 100 participants collaborate in their efforts to reduce the level of poverty in Ethiopia.

 
RDL Meets the Ypsilanti, MI Community

 

 

 

 

 

June 28th, 2009                                  RDL members met with the community on Sunday afternoon for a “BBQ in the Park”. The event included fun games, burgers and hotdogs followed by presentation on RDL issues.

 
 
RDL Center Architectural Design

MIT

February 1st, 2009                               Studio Luz Architects, a firm in Boston has agreed to design the future home of Redefine Life Center. They are currently requesting some graduate students from MIT to volunteer some labor hours.

 

Children’s House Complete

January 15th, 2009                                The generous contributions from the individuals have enabled RDL to make solid reparation to the deteriorating house the kids lived in. In additions, RDL was able to make slight expansion to the area of the house and was able to purchase new mattresses for the kids to sleep in. Picture with the renovations will appear soon on the web site.

 

RDL 501C(3) Official

November 20th, 2008                               RDL officially obtained its 501C(3) documents, finally obtaining its non for profit status.

 

Congratulations Sime!

September 1st, 2008                          Simegnew, one of the first RDL kids, graduated from Bahir Dar University with a Degree in Education. Please join RDL as we all feel proud of the first RDL recipient to graduate from college. View pictures as the RDL team awards Sime his graduation present. Sime is currently working in his field and had joined RDL, this time, as a member to help out those kids in need.
