Two get together events were held in Ann Arbor and Grand Rapids, MI during the summer of 2008 by individuals who where generous enough to donate to proceeds to RDL.

These kind gifts are highly appreciated by the organization. They were used towards the purchase of food for the summer months of 2008 and reconstruction of the current house the kids live in. Renovations on the house will soon be on the website. RDL would like to thank the individuals who made the donation.

Past events—Get Together in Ann Arbor and Grand Rapids , MI Summer ’08

Our immediate objective is to make sure that our kids receive three meals a day and have a place to live and make sure they focus on their education. To ensure this, RDL  engages in a number of events that allows us to raise funds.  Each of our activities fund a specific need such as meals, books, educational supplies, clothes, … for the kids .

Barbeque in the Park, Rolling Hills Water Park, Ypsilanti, MI, June ‘09

“BBQ in the park” event was an opportunity for RDL members to get together with the community in a relaxed atmosphere and get the conversation going regarding our history, missions and goals, what we accomplished and what we hope to accomplish in the future. We were very grateful to receive a lot of encouragement and support from the community and we thank all who attended the event.

PAST EVENTS

Redefining Ethiopia’s Reality, Washington, DC, August ’09

Redefine Life Foundation joined the Children of Ethiopia Organization (CEO) (riseCEO.org) in an event dedicated to uniting people and organizations in a joint effort towards maximizing education and health care improvements as well as the fight against poverty in general. The event was on August 8th from 4pm to 8pm in Washington, D.C. Raffle prizes were also drawn on that day. The main purpose of the raffle was to introduce RDL and its work with street children in Ethiopia to the community. While not everyone who purchased a ticket could be a winner in this raffle, we are all winning as part of the community that will be able to enjoy the contributions towards opening a house for street girls. Thank you  for all who participated and we hope you will all participate at our next event.
