Letter from Keneni Dibaba

"The existence of human beings living in conditions that deprive them of basic things like food, water or shelter has always puzzled me. I always tried to understand why some people especially children are born to that type hardship and rather than getting answers, I found that I only got angry. No one gave me an answer that I thought was acceptable.

I don’t believe that I have found the answer to my questions yet but with age and hopefully wisdom, I have decided that I should do something to help reduce that which made me angry before.

It is for selfish reasons that I join RDL. Maybe when I give, I will get in return a peace of mind, a better understanding of life and contagious strength from the children that are enduring much more than I ever did."
