Redefine Life Foundation joined the Children of Ethiopia Organization (CEO)
in an event dedicated to uniting people and organizations in a joint effort towards maximizing education and
health care improvements as well as the fight against poverty in general.
The event was held on August 8th from 4pm to 8pm in Washington, D.C. The event brought together three non-for-profit
organizations, namely, Jedidi’s Children Aid Organization, Ethiopian North American Health Professionals
Association, Saturday Tutorial Program, not to mention RDL, and last but not least an unbelievably generous
individual by the name of Lidia Schaefer who sold her house to fund a secondary school in Ethiopia. In this very
memorable event CEO was able to unite the different entities with each other, as well as with close to 100
participants collaborate in their efforts to reduce the level of poverty in Ethiopia.
Raffle prizes were also drawn on that day. The main purpose of the raffle was to introduce RDL and its work with street children in
Ethiopia to the community. While not everyone who purchased a ticket could be a winner in this raffle, we are
all winning as part of the community that will be able to enjoy the contributions towards opening a house for
street girls. Thank you for all who participated and we hope you will all participate at our next event.
