Partnership with VNLDA
Vision New Life Development Association

Redefine Life Foundation is 501(c) 3 non-profit in the United States. As part of
our project we have submitted our application to be recognized as a non-profit organization in Ethiopia as well.
Our application was submitted in June 2009 and we have been waiting for the approval of our license .
The Ethiopian government is currently amending the law governing non-profits and has suspended any pending cases until the new
laws are finalized. There are three types of non-profits in Ethiopia and we have elected to register
as an “Ethiopian Residents Charities and Societies” because his provides us access to unlimited
outside financial support as long as we are not involved in any political activities.
Given RDL is non-political, non-religious, and non-ethnical, these best fit our organization.
The delay in licensing has lead RDL to partner with Vision New Life Development
Association, VNLDA a licensed Ethiopian Residents Charity who has agreed to let us operate using their
license under their supervision. We are currently supporting five girls in Addis Ababa under their care.
We will shortly add their profile on the site.
Upon receipt on our license we will start working independently and resume with the effort of opening a house for these girls
where we can provide all the basic necessities for caring for these children, such as food, shelter, medical attention,
school fees and supplies so as to keep them focused on their education.
The new laws governing nonprofits will shortly be finalized according the Ethiopian Embassy in Washington D.C.
Support this project by becoming a member of the Redefine Life Foundation with annual membership fee of
$60 or $30 for students, and free for children.
